endangered life…

Our Mission is to improve the quality of life on this planet. In this segment of our story, we’re focusing on endangered animals around the world and what we can do to help save the very few that remain. Although we may be a small force, our goal is to advocate for these animals who are at risk of going extinct.

This month, we take a close look at the Amur Leopard. One of the worlds most fascinating cats to observe and sadly, only a little under 100 are alive today**. One of the organizations currently leading the fight to protect these animals are The Wildcats Conservation alliance. This is an amazing organization that has acted on preserving these animals for many years now to help increase the total number of leopards each year.

According to WildCats Alliance, “As recently as 1970 Amur Leopard in the wild had dwindled to fewer than 30 individual making them one of the worlds most endangered big cats and for this reason list them as critical endangered by the IUCN”. These Majestic cats, as recorded by IUCN Red List with only 19 -26 estimated to survive Southeastern Russia and Northeastern China is classified as one of rarest big cats on earth.

Amur Leopard remain endangered and going extinct for these primary reasons. They are poached, mostly for their beautiful spotted fur. the result of prey species such as roe deer, ska deer and hare , which are hunted by villagers both for food and cash. You and I can save and protect animals in the wild by educating the younger generation through spreading their endangered awareness, sharing stories and supporting world wild life organizations and agency who are in the fields with endangered animals. With the creation of our leopard character, Amuri the Leopard, we hope to educate our audience of their stories to help turn in more supporters.

We have a social and environmental responsibility to protect all our animals on the planet. If we are work hard to increase awareness to others about the Amur Leopard and their fight for survival, then maybe we can make a difference in the world.
